Best or Worst Time of Year..

Winter is upon us and in this part of New York is has both amazing and terrible conditions for photography. I’m waiting for the snowy days to begin. Like the title says. It’s the best and worst time of year. I particularly like colder weather but everything is ugly and dead most of the season. Unless we have a nice snowfall. Even though it’s a little early for snow, I have to be ready to change my whole work schedule if there is snowfall when I wake up in the mornings. These last few years, we’ve had so little snow in our area, I have to drop everything if I can I’m back on the road driving around just like I did in the fall. It’s stressful but a lot of fun.

These photos are both of the trails at the Spencer Crest Nature Center. A beautiful walk through nature any time of year. I was just there to grab some Fall photos for work but I particularly like it when there’s a nice fresh new coat of snow everywhere. It’s like walking through a winter wonderland.

Both of these were photos were shot on phones, but I’m really looking forward to getting my camera out there again this Winter for some high quality photography!
